I had a lovely stay at The Shilla Seoul. the grounds were beautiful and the location was convenient, just a brief walk from the subway, although the hill might be a bit challenging for some. The room was spacious with a stunning view of the city. However, while the breakfast buffet was really good, I found the dining options quite overpriced.

I had a lovely stay at The Shilla Seoul, with its stunning grounds and really good breakfast buffet. However, the steep walk to the hotel from the subway may be a challenge for some guests. I found the dining prices a bit high and the service could improve in certain areas.

I loved the breakfast buffet, which had an very nice variety of food. But, I found dinner prices at the hotel quite steep, especially considering the amazing food options in Seoul outside.

The gym is well-equipped and the indoor pool looked appealing, although I didn't get a chance to use it. I appreciated the complimentary shuttle service offered by the hotel.

My stay at The Shilla Seoul was good, particularly thanks to the really good service and comfortable rooms. though I did find the noise from nearby events somewhat disruptive. The executive lounge offered a fantastic dining experience, which balanced out the minor inconveniences I encountered during my visit.

While the hotel is nicely positioned away from the crowded city center, making it peaceful, it’s still easily accessible via a short taxi ride to major attractions. The nearby metro station is a bonus for exploring the area.

My stay at The Shilla Seoul was an very nice experience overall. While the hotel itself is impressive and offers great service, the dining options left a bit to be desired in terms of variety and pricing. The location, though scenic, made accessing the hotel a bit challenging, especially during winter. Nevertheless, the staff's attention and the amenities provided made my stay nice.
Rooms
9.0
I found my room to be spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view across the city. The bathroom was well-appointed with quality toiletries. However, the view of the indoor golf practice area was not ideal.
Service
10.0
The service at the hotel was really good. Staff were consistently friendly and attentive, remembering my name and catering to my needs. I did experience some inconsistencies with room service and housekeeping, but overall, the staff's dedication shone through.
Location
7.0
The hotel is situated on a hill, surrounded by beautiful gardens and traditional architecture. While the location is close to central attractions, the steep walk back from the subway station can be quite taxing, especially for those with mobility issues.
Dining
6.0
Though the breakfast buffet at Parkview restaurant was excellent, the high prices for lunch and dinner made dining at the hotel less appealing. There are much more affordable and delicious options in the city, so I think the hotel needs to improve its dining offerings.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel boasts excellent amenities, including a well-equipped gym and beautiful pools, both indoor and outdoor. However, I found it odd that the outdoor pool required a separate fee for access.

I had a mixed experience at The Shilla Seoul. The rooms were beautifully clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly, which made a good impression. However, the morning breakfast felt overpriced and the hotel’s parking situation was quite inconvenient. I expected better service from a luxury hotel, especially after such a high rate.
Rooms
8.0
My room was clean and comfortable, but I faced some noise issues as it was located next to the lift. The bedding had some holes and the bathroom shower was blocked, which was disappointing. Luckily, staff resolved these issues within 24 hours.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly and polite, my experience with the front desk was far from ideal. I encountered an unprofessional employee who made my check-in process very frustrating.
Location
6.0
The hotel is centrally located near famous streets and major attractions, but it’s quite far from shopping areas, making it a bit tricky for travelers without a car. The shuttle service to main tourist points is available, but it would be better if there were more frequent options.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast at The Shilla was average considering the high price. While the food was decent, I expected more given the hotel's reputation. The lunch and dinner options at the Parkview are supposed to be really good, but breakfast left me wanting.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel has great amenities like an indoor pool and a spa, which were enjoyable. However, the parking situation was a big letdown, as it forced me to walk a long distance from the car park to the hotel.
